A graduate from Union High School in 1997, Jay attended The American University in Washington DC with a BA in interdisciplinary studies. He began his teaching career in Roselle, NJ teaching a variety of subjects, including social studies, computers, and literacy.
Sebastian Cognetta holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California and was instrumental in launching Aveson Charter Schools, a nationally recognized model for Personalized Mastery Learning, and two of California’s first educator cooperatives, Aveson Educational Cooperative and Educators Cooperative. He is the school director for Aveson School of Leaders, Aveson’s elementary campus.

She has more than 30 years of school experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and district administrator. Dr. Hutton’s leadership experience at the school and central office levels uniquely positions her to lead the programs and services NASSP offers to benefit all school leaders.
